The work of the vine

As of Autumn 2020, the soil is now worked using a "Belhomme" hydraulic frame, which will allow us to fight weed growth in a totally ecological way and improve yields without the need for additional fertilizer, as well as limit the risk of frost. We work with a well-known specialist in agrobiology, Jacques Moreau, from the company Symbiose, who uses an agrobiological method for the reconstruction and sustainable fertility of the soil, whose great merit is to be ecological and respectful of the biotope.

Our principal objective is to respect the vine and to minimise any interference in order to protect them against climatic incidents and potential diseases and to care for the vine in a kinder and more sustainable way.

Our vineyard has been entirely certified Organic Agriculture since 2011, we do not use synthetic pesticides or herbicides. This certification is controlled and renewed by Bureau Veritas.

Finally, the grapes are harvested 100% by hand, maintaining this philosophy of working with nature and with respect for the plants themselves, what we call in French “la culture douce de la vigne” or "the soft culture of the vine".
